Alex Oh resigned from her position as director of the enforcement department « for personal reasons, » the Securities and Exchange Commission said Wednesday.
Oh was appointed to the role on April 22nd by Chairman Gary Gensler, who said in a statement at the time that « Alex brings the right combination of values and experience to the role of director to vigorously root out misconduct in our markets. » She joined the SEC after partnering with the Wall Street law firm Paul, Weiss.
Melissa Hodgman, who served as Assistant Director of Enforcement from January through last week, will take over this role again effective Wednesday.
