Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry is one to always impress with his suits. This time, however, he made sure to take his statement outfit to a whole different level.

Ahead of the Titans’ season opener against the Denver Broncos on Monday, the Pro Bowler wore a suit to honor the victims of racial injustice in the U.S. The two-piece black ensemble had the names of some of the recent victims of police brutality printed in white.

There have been a lot of talk this offseason on how players will show their support with regards to the “Black Lives Matter” movement amid everything going on in the country right now.

Racial injustice has continued to take center stage over the past few months even though the entire world has been under a global pandemic since March. Notably, the killings of Breonna Taylor and Georgle Floyd earlier this 2020 have sparked a ton of conversation to try and bring about systemic change, not only in the NFL but also in the entire country.

Members of the NFL, including the Titans and Derrick Henry, have made it a point to use the start of this season to make their own statement in support of the movement. Obviously, as the season progresses, more players are expected to peacefully protest and add to the social commentary.

Henry and the rest of the Titans are looking to make a statement as well on the field as they try to bounce back from last season’s Conference Finals exit against the eventual champions, Kansas City Chiefs.

Henry, for his part, had arguably his best season as the Titans’ main offensive weapon. He tallied career-bests 1,540 rushing yards and 16 touchdowns in 2019. The fourth-year RB knows that he has to continue to impress for his team to be in a position to be successful this 2020 campaign, especially with how seemingly huge this season is becoming.
