The West Coast Eagles have continued to put the competition on notice registering their sixth win in row. The Eagles had to overcome a fast starting Carlton Blues, WA youngster Zac Fisher impressive for the Blue Baggers with a career high four goals.

Behind at halftime by 13 points, West Coast Eagles turned their game around in the third term kicking five goals straight – Kennedy, Cripps, Darling & Cameron all getting on the board for the quarter.

A Will Setterfield goal drew Carlton closer in the final quarter but after an arm wrestle in the midfield – West Coast’s Dom Sheed stepped up to slot two final quarter goals to give the Eagles the win by 22 points.

All eyes will now be on Captain Luke Shuey and the match review panel due to a possible trip on Ed Curnow.

“We probably spent 8 minutes defending – then we went into a good space for half an hour and put the game out of reach”

“We are a good side but we are no different to anyone else in terms of bringing intensity and playing 4 quarters, we are still searching for that.”

“It was a great result. We knew Carlton were going to come out hard – and they did . They probably had the better of us in the first so it was good to respond in the second half”
