The contaminated product was sold in this province and in Nova Scotia with code dates between September 2 and October 31
The recall involves eggs produced by Hilly Acres Farm, under several brand names, including Compliments, No Name, Great Value, Maritime Pride, Nova Eggs, Farmer John Eyking and Eyking Delight

According to Health Canada, the recalled products should not be consumed and should be discarded or returned to the point of purchase The recall was triggered by the results of tests carried out by the company and no illness related to consumption is has been reported
Callers to the VOCM newsroom report that when they contacted the point of purchase regarding the recall, some were told that the product they owned was not included in the recall and that ‘it was safe for consumption
In response to this confusion, Health Canada says to refer to the photos they have provided on their website of the affected products
