Light heavyweight: Jimmy Crute (12-1, 4-1 UFC) defeats Modestas Bukauskas (11-3, 1-1 UFC) by first round knockout
Jimmy Crute’s highlights reel received a major upgrade on Saturday, as he completely flattened UFC newcomer Modestas Bukauskas in just over two minutes of their light heavyweight fight
Crute (12-1) looked sharp and confident from the opening bell He slammed Bukauskas (11-3) back with a stiff right hand in the opening seconds of the fight, and went to work with kicks on his head leg He attempted a takedown early in the fight, but Bukauskas defended the shot well and forced Crute to reset The failed takeout didn’t help dampen Crute’s confidence, as he landed a handsome counter right and left hook to end the fight moments later.

The finishing streak was a work of art Bukauskas hit the bridge after the initial right hand, but instinctively jumped to his feet Crute immediately scored him with the left hook, sending him violently s ‘crash to the ground again near the fence, and brought the referee to wave This marks Crute’s fourth result since signing with the UFC in 2018, who is most tied during that time in the light heavyweight division.
After the result, Crute called up another promising young light heavyweight to Nikita Krylov, who was due to face Volkan Oezdemir on Saturday, before Oezdemir’s withdrawal due to injury
Krause handed Silva his first loss in 13 years by fending off the Brazilian’s grappling game and totally outclassing him on the feet – essentially running on one leg for much of the way
After beating Silva 33-19 in the first round and making five of his seven takedowns in those first five minutes, Krause told his cornermen between laps that he had injured his knee It showed in his movement the rest of the way, but he still managed to pepper Silva with forehands while avoiding most of the wild, looping punches thrown his way.
Silva’s clumsy strike landed at a meager 29% clip, while Krause was accurate on 59% of his strikes
With the win, the 34-year-old from Lee’s Summit, Missouri got back on track after seeing his six-game winning streak end in a split decision loss to Trevin Giles in February
Silva, 38 and from Brazil, had won 14 consecutive victories after abandoning his professional debut in 2007

A featherweight affair between Jonathan Martinez and Thomas Almeida produced one of the best fights of the evening, as Martinez defeated Almeida in an exciting three-round decision
Martinez (13-3) nodded via the judges’ scores of 30-27 in a fight that never saw the ground Martinez looked very comfortable in the pocket and was repeatedly caught Almeida (22-4) with the jab and smooth kickbacks Almeida took the shots well, although he was visibly wobbled by a hard left hook at the end of a Martinez combination in the third round

Fighting out of Denver, Martinez set the tone early with his jab Almeida had some success with leg kicks and his right hand, but Martinez’s counterwork was clearly more effective He has cut Almeida under the left eye with a punch in the first round and landed a huge knee in the middle from a clinch position in the second
Almeida responded at times to make the fight competitive, including a mind-blowing one-two combination that sent Martinez on his heels in round three, but he was clearly a step backward for much of the fight. The fight was fought at 145 pounds although Almeida and Martinez traditionally fight at 135
Martinez, 26, is now 4-2 in the UFC Many observers believed he actually won a split decision loss to Andre Ewell in February This controversial loss is the only flaw in Martinez’s last five appearances

It was the ninth consecutive victory for the 28-year-old, who was born in the Republic of Georgia and based in Sweden

Women’s flyweight: Gillian Robertson (9-4, 6-2 UFC) defeats Poliana Botelho (8-3, 3-2 UFC) by unanimous decision
Gillian Robertson clearly wanted to bring Poliana Botelho to the ground in their flyweight bout Once she managed to get him there it was obvious why
Robertson (9-4) improved to 6-2 in the UFC with a dominating decision over Botelho (8-3) The judges scored the fight for Robertson 29-28, 29-27 and 29- 27 The 25-year-old Canadian was way too much for Botelho on the pitch as she constantly improved her position and worked her pitch and shot Robertson admitted she was disappointed with the lack of finish, but it was a very good performance otherwise
“[Bringing her down] was the plan, but the plan was also to finish her off, so I’m not happy,” said Robertson “I’m trying to get that 100% finish rate and I ruined it tonight, so I’m not happy «
Robertson fired a one-legged attempt on Botelho in the first three seconds of the fight She struggled to bring down the Brazilian in the first round, but had no problem doing so in the second and third She switched to full mount a few times and caused an unpleasant facial swelling at the end of the fight with her strikes

Middleweight: Jun Yong Park (12-4, 2-1 UFC) defeats John Phillips (22-11, 1-5 UFC) via unanimous decision
Park was supposed to watch the phenomenon Khamzat Chimaev’s debut in the UFC in July, because he knew exactly what to do against Phillips And then he surpassed Chimaev, at least in terms of records
Park, who is usually a standing fighter, took Phillips to the canvas in the first minute of each round and kept him there until the horn was honked, sprinkling him with short punches in a dominant performance for which the three judges rewarded him with 30 to 25 scorecards

As Chimaev subdued Phillips after beating him 43-1, Park amassed some striking numbers that eclipsed that production, finishing with 260 total strikes, which ESPN Stats & Information says is tied for sixth in a three-round fight in UFC history
Much of what Park landed wasn’t damaging For example, he beat Phillips 53-1 in the first round, but it was only a 3-0 margin in some important strikes But Phillips had no answers
Park, a 29-year-old main event teammate Chan Sung Jung of the Korea Top Team, has won nine of his last 10 fights
Lightweight: Fares Ziam (11-3, 1-1 UFC) defeats Jamie Mullarkey (12-4, 0-2 UFC) via unanimous decision
French lightweight Fares Ziam (11-4) clinched a unanimous decision victory over Jamie Mullarkey (12-4), in a close fight that some have certainly scored for Mullarkey
The 155-pound match showed a difference in style, as Ziam seemed happy to stay on the outside and use his length, while Mullarkey constantly sought to close the distance and put the fight on the ground. Both were successful as UFC stats showed a tight record in overall strikes Ziam landed 54 to 29 for Mullarkey, although Mullarkey added five successful strikeouts
Mullarkey of Australia looked stunned when judges’ unanimous scores of 29-28 were read in favor of Ziam He did his best job in the second round, landing several strong elbows from first position and almost taking the ziam’s back He also had some success in the third round on the ground, although he did allow Ziam to sweep him up and get in a favorable position in the final moments of the fight.
Drops Mullarkey 0-2 in UFC It was his first appearance in 2020 Ziam notches his first victory inside the Octagon in two tries He suffered a decision loss to Don Madge on his UFC debut in September 2019

Once his opponent engaged in a fight, Grishin ended it, using a barrage of punches as Round 2 ended to end at 4:58 for his first victory in the ‘UFC
These veteran Russian light heavyweights had trained together at the American Top Team in Florida, so Grishin was well aware of Antigulov’s reputation as a quick starter. But that night Antigulov didn’t come out shooting, much of the first round went like a gaze contest
But when Antigulov, a 33-year-old Dagestan, aggressively came out for the second, and even took the fight to the canvas, Grishin responded, emerging from an attempted submission by reversing his stance, then returning to his feet and attacking As Grishin fired with punches at the cage Antigulov only covered the referee twice asked Antigulov to fight before intervening
Grishin, 36, is a former PFL fighter who saw a nine-game winning streak end in July on his UFC debut, a decision loss to Marcin Tybura
For Antigulov, it was his fourth straight loss in the UFC, although in the others he finished in the first round
Male bantamweight: Said Nurmagomedov (14-2, 3-1 UFC) defeats Mark Striegl (18-3, 0-1 UFC) via first round knockout
UFC bantamweight, said Nurmagomedov didn’t need a big opportunity to knock out an opponent It was all on full display on Saturday
Nurmagomedov categorically recorded his third UFC victory by knocking out Mark Striegl with floor and delivering her just 51 seconds away from their bantamweight contest Nurmagomedov (14-2) let Striegl down with a counter left hand that didn’t even seem to have much Nurmagomedov stepped back and looked off balance as he threw the punch, but it was a perfect shot at Striegl’s temple
