Kourtney Kardashian, star of the reality TV show Keeping Up with the Kardashians, has announced that she is pregnant with her fourth child. The 44-year-old revealed the news to her husband, Blink-182 drummer Travis Barker, during one of his concerts by holding up a sign that read, « Travis, I’m Pregnant. » The couple shared a passionate kiss after Barker saw the message. Kardashian later confirmed the news on her Instagram Story by sharing a video of the surprise reveal. Kardashian has been open with fans about her attempts to conceive a child with Barker through in vitro fertilization (IVF).
Kardashian already shares three children with her ex-boyfriend Scott Disick, while Barker has two children with his ex-wife Shanna Moakler. The couple got married at a courthouse in Santa Barbara in May 2022 before holding a lavish wedding at the Dolce & Gabbana mansion in Portofino, Italy, a week later. Kardashian has previously spoken about her IVF journey, saying that it caused her to spiral into a deep depression and other symptoms. She officially stopped her IVF treatment 10 months prior to the announcement of her pregnancy.
Kardashian has frozen eggs from years ago, but most of them did not survive the thaw because eggs are one cell and none of them made it to an embryo. She said that freezing eggs is not a guarantee that she would get pregnant. Kardashian has always been vocal about her love for motherhood, saying that it is her favorite role in life and gives her purpose. She and Barker have said that they are embracing whatever is meant to be and are already happy with their full, blessed life without a child.
