Former Glee star Lea Michele and her husband Zandy Reich have confirmed that they welcomed a baby boy late last week and even announced his name to the public over the weekend.
A source confirmed to People late last night that the couple welcomed their son last week on Thursday 20th August, and said, « Everyone’s happy and healthy, and they’re extremely grateful… He’s been an easy baby so far, » the source added. They also confirmed that the couple have named their new son Ever Leo.
Lea and her entrepreneur husband Zandy married in March 2019 after first being linked in July 2017. The ceremony took place in Northern California and was attended by more than 200 family and friends, including Glee costars Darren Criss and Becca Tobin.
The couple confirmed their pregnancy in April this year and over the last few months Lea has posted lots of pregnancy updates on social media, including a bikini picture in which she showed her bump in all its glory to followers.
Shortly after the couple’s pregnancy was announced, Glee fans flocked to Twitter to offer their congratulations, because they had noticed that Lea’s character in Glee, Rachel Berry, was also pregnant in 2020.
At the end of the show’s sixth season, viewers were shown the characters in the year 2020 and Rachel was a surrogate to Kurt Hummel (Chris Colfer) and Blaine Anderson (Darren Criss).
After spotting the link, one fan wrote: « In Glee Rachel Berry was pregnant in 2020 because she was Kurt and Blaine’s surrogate. Well Lea Michele is pregnant in 2020 with her first baby. Coincidence? I think not. »
