Loyal dog delivers takeaway to owner while holding bag in her mouth

The incredibly helpful pooch was filmed delivering a bag of food from Chick-fil-A in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, in a clip which has since gone viral on social media

A cute video of an adorable dog delivering a takeaway in the United States has been shared online.

The branch of Chick-fil-A at Carraway Village in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, shared a video of the talented four-legged friend delivering dinner to her owner.

It has been using delivery as a safe and socially distant way of making sure guests get their food.

The video shows the furry delivery worker, whose name is Ellie, running across the restaurant car park with a big smile picking up her owner’s bag of food.

Then, she runs back to owner Nick, who is waiting for his pup by his car.

« Using our mobile app for curbside delivery has never been more fun or easy, » the fast-food chain posted on its Facebook page.

Many of those who watched the video were impressed by her ability to smell the fresh chicken and resist the urge to eat it herself.

« My dogs would happily pick up the order… then eat it before returning to the car, » one woman wrote in the comments.

Another said: « I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again… goldens are the goodest boys! »

A third commented: « This dog delivers food to its humans. Our dogs can’t even figure out whose food bowl is whose. »

Ellie and Nick are apparently regulars at the Chick-fil-A, and the loyal dog is always excited to visit the restaurant and help deliver the food.

On Sunday, a clip showed an impatient golden retriever yelping in frustration at his dog friend fetching his toy.
