Michael Jackson would have been 62-years-old today, and his family and fans around the world are celebrating the incredible life and legacy of the King Of Pop!
The Jackson family, including MJ’s brothers Tito and Jermaine, have posted tributes to the pop star and many are posting their favorite pictures, stories, and music from him.
« Happy birthday, MJ!✌?????????? ?, » Tito wrote alongside a photo of what appears to be the Jackson 5 from the 1980s.
Brother Jermaine Jackson posted a photo of MJ, with the caption, « Happy birthday, MJ! Long live the Legacy of the King! ? »
« On this day in 1958, the greatest entertainer of all time, the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, was born. He revolutionized entertainment, shattered racial divides & became the most successful, culturally impactful & influential artist in modern global history, » a fan tweeted.
Many fans are mourning the death of ‘Black Panther’ star Chadwick Boseman, who died following a 4-year battle with colon cancer and pointing out the huge loss of the two incredible artists.
« Today is Michael Jackson’s 62nd birthday and Chadwick Boseman moved on today. Two incredible legends the future generations will grow up to know. Love forever, » a fan tweeted.
« Michael Jackson would have been 62 today. For 5 decades, he was one of the greatest and electrifying entertainers on the planet. If you weren’t there, you just wouldn’t understand, » one fan tweeted, as many shared videos and clips of MJ’s biggest hit records.
The Michael Jackson estate posted a message on the King Of Pop’s official Twitter pages, saying, « Happy Birthday, Michael Jackson, the Greatest of All Time. Do something to “Heal The World” in honor of Michael’s birthday today, and share your actions in the comments. »
The message receives replies from all over the world, including the L.O.V.E. project who posted a photo from Nigeria, saying, « Dearest Michael, Here we are, celebrating your life at Kubwa Divine Orphanage Home, Abuja, Nigeria. We L.O.V.E. you, more than ever! Happy 62 Birthday, Michael! «
« Happy birthday to the greatest entertainer in the world, to the legend, to the star, to the myth, to the icon, to the innovator but most importantly to the son, to the brother, to the father, to the friend, to the human being like all of us, we love you, Michael Jackson, » another fan posted.
As you can imagine, many took this day to point out their ongoing issues with the recent MJ documentary ‘Leaving Neverland’ and wrote things like, « Today would have been Michael Jackson’s 62nd Birthday and I have a special request. Instead of removing movies from 1939 that are supposedly offensive, why can’t HBO Max remove Leaving Neverland from its service? That one is actually racist and it’s from 2019. »
We have to agree with this one, « Listening to the incredible Off The Wall album. Play it loud today. »
