Portland Police prepares for more protests Sunday night following deadly shooting downtown

PORTLAND, Ore. – As the city reels from a deadly shooting in downtown Portland near clashing protesters on Saturday night, law enforcement is preparing for another night of demonstrations. According to police, calls came in at about 8:45 p. m. Saturday for gunfire near Southwest 3rd and Alder Street. When officers arrived, they found a man who had been shot in the chest. He died shortly after. Portland Police Chief Chuck Lovell joined Mayor Ted Wheeler and Multnomah County Dist.
