On Twitter, the Snowbirds just posted: « We know some areas are starting to clear up, however transit through some of the mountain passes have very low cloud cover, which is unsafe for flying 9 jets. We are going to preposition to Comox to start working our way west. »
The Canadian Forces Snowbirds will be flying over the Okanagan on Sunday as part of their Operation Inspiration tour across the country.
The famed aerobatics team is doing its part to lift Canadians’ spirits during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The team will leave Kamloops at 10 a.m., fly to Princeton, Penticton, up to Vernon and then back to Kelowna, landing at 11 a.m.
