Sports Medicine Report is SportingKC.com’s look at the latest medical news ahead of upcoming matches and is presented by The Sports Medicine Center at Children’s Mercy. All medical issues listed are from the teams’ official medical reports submitted prior to matchday.

Sporting Kansas City heads West to Colorado today looking to bounce back from Tuesday’s disappointing loss to the Houston Dynamo. Sporting still sits atop the Western Conference with a 5-2-0 record (15 pts.), while the Rapids hold a 2-3-1 mark (7 pts.) and are winless in their last four matches.

As has been the case since the restart of the MLS regular season, Sporting KC only has one concern with Felipe Gutierrez not medically cleared to play. Gutierrez is out for the season following knee surgery earlier this summer.

Colorado also has just one name on their injury report, with Olathe, Kansas native Kortne Ford out after undergoing knee surgery earlier this month.

Kickoff from Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in Commerce City, Colorado is set for 8 p.m. CT on FOX Sports Kansas City, while Sports Radio 810 WHB and La Grande 1340 AM will carry the game locally on the radio.
