Collingwood and Gold Coast going toe to toe from 7.10pm AEST

COLLINGWOOD has a chance to book its place in this year’s finals campaign when it takes on Gold Coast at the Gabba from 7.10pm AEST.

The Pies are precariously placed in eighth spot but can move ahead of of the Western Bulldogs and St Kilda with a win against the Suns.

A loss could be a disaster, however, with Collingwood facing ladder leader Port Adelaide in its final game next Monday.

The Magpies have loaded up with star power for the clash, recalling midfield ace Adam Treloar, mercurial forward Jordan De Goey and the versatile Travis Varcoe.

Treloar will play his first game since round 10 after recovering from a hamstring injury, while De Goey has recovered from hand surgery and will line up for the first time since kicking five goals against Geelong in round seven.

With one round of the home and away season remaining, Matthew Lloyd and Damian Barrett discuss all of the big storylines

Gold Coast has made three changes from the team badly beaten by Brisbane on Wednesday night, with Ben Ainsworth (illness) the biggest name to miss out.

Nick Holman and Sean Lemmens join him as inclusions, while Connor Budarick’s season is over with a broken collarbone and Sam Flanders has been dropped.
