in terms of net discoveries, Chapter 11 of The Mandalorian might be the most important episode in the program so far. Far from introducing the child in Episode One, the characters and ideas presented this week have the potential to shake the world of Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) to the core.. They might just change the galaxy.
Chapter 11 of The Mandalorian is called « The Heiress, » and is captured on the right where the last episode has stopped, with Razor Crest barely holding, floating through space toward Trask. After a very severe crash on the planet, followed by the ship falling into the water which required a claw machine to take it out, Mrs. The Frog got together with her husband (Ooo) and Mando had a captain in these other Mandalorians.
Any planet with massive cranes that can catch spaceships falling from water is pretty cool, and your terrace is just that.. It has a bit of the industrial aesthetic to Corelia, but with a slightly more old school, almost old fishing village vibe. This is why Mrs. Frog says it is a rare planet where she can reproduce, and why it is inhabited mostly by aquatic-looking species like Mon Calamari and Quarren.. There’s also a mysterious woman spying on Mando (Mercedes Varnado, also known as WWE star Sasha Banks, as seen in the trailer).
Can’t a Mandarin child and a child have a few moments of calm and peace? It seems that the moment an adventure ends, such as defeating a huge Krayt dragon, another adventure begins again.. If you thought the dragon was big, bad, and frightening, then the Mandalorian said, « Hold on. . .

At the local bar (it’s always a bar, right?), Mando meets the pretty sweater-wearing Mon Cal and introduces him to Quarenne’s mean-looking character. Quarren tells Mando that he can take him to others who are looking for him on his boat. Unfortunately for Mando . . . It’s a trap! Quarren and his crew try to feed both he and the baby to a sinister mamacore (the third fearsome monster in many episodes this season) to steal his Pascar. The scene was absolutely terrifying as our dear Mamacor swallows Baby Yoda and his stroller completely, and Mando fights so as not to drown like a stab on him.. Everything was lost until the arrival of the cavalry – in the form of three Mandalorians, one of them looks quite familiar to fans of the cartoon in Star Wars.
We’re talking of course Bo-Katan Kryze, Mandalorian heir (do you understand that now?) voiced by Katee Sackhoff in The Clone Wars and Star Wars Rebels, and is now represented by the actress in live action. She and her team – Koska Reeves (Varnado) and Ax Woves (Simon Kassianides) – save Mando from Quarren and instantly rock his world when the three take off their helmets in a pivotal, wonderful moment. Season 1 of The Mandalorian spent a long time establishing cultural myths about mask wearing in the history of the Mandalorian religion.. But Star Wars fans have seen many other people wearing armor, from Jango Fett to Sabine Wren and others, all taking off their helmets.. What is disconnection? Bo knows.
She explained that while it’s actually from a long streak of Mandalorian blood, Mando is a « watch kid » (as we saw in flashbacks of his childhood last season). This, of course, is the infamous Death Watch Group – a terrorist group that broke away from the reformed Mandalorian community seen in the Clone Wars that wanted to re-establish the ancient ways of its culture.. As you can expect, Mando doesn’t take kindly to being a member of the sect and flies away. But Bo-Katan, Koska and Ax are amazing badass, and after a few hours, they once again save Mando from more Quarren, and at that point, he finally decides to really listen to them.
Bo Catan made it clear that she and her team wanted to steal weapons from Trask to help them recover Mandalore.. She and Dean have different ideas of what happened on this planet but there was only one of them in reality. However, Dean, at least for now, has no interest in Poe’s plan to return to Mandalore. He just wants to safely bring the baby back to Jedi. Bo makes him an offer, saying that she knows Jedi and can help, but only if he helps her in her mission.

That mission? He kidnapped an imperial cruiser full of dangerous weapons. After taking down the baby with his frog friends, Dean joins Nite Owls in an extended action scene that resembles pure Star Wars: Mandus sprinkles explosive fires all over the place, wiping out Stormtroopers left and right, it’s a super fun sequence.. All of this leads to the ship’s head – referred only to the captain’s name (Lost’s Titus Welliver, although you may know him better as Bosch these days) – by following Moff Gideon’s own orders to kill his remaining crew and destroy the ship. Despite some transformation by Bo-Katan, who « changed the terms of the deal, » Dean’s bravery helps the Mandos take control in time, so they can safely take the weapons to help in their battle to rebuild the Mandalore.
The Mandalorian is back, and Dean Jaren is on a mission: to find his people, so they can guide him in the ways of being the father of a little green man of strength and more famous than him. . But Mandalore, a scientist burdened by this tumultuous history, is back. . .

However, before the mission is completed, Bo-Katan reveals her true desires. She threatens the Captain to find out where her Darksaber is, which she somehow lost between the events of Star Wars Rebels and The Mandalorian.. We know Mov Gideon has that (according to last season’s finale), she thinks she knows, but she finally finds out for sure, before the captain kills his life.
Thus, Bo-Katan and her Mandalorians are in the process of searching for the Darksaber. But Mando and the baby stay on their own path – a road that, according to Buktan, should take them to the city of Caludan on the forest planet of Corvus.. There, they will find Jedi as …
Pause the nerd panic because we just saw the live Bo-Katan movie telling the Mandalorians to find Ahsoka fuckin ‘Tanu. AAAAAH. OK. deep breath. It’s all right, we’re fine here, how are you? But with this knowledge in his possession, Mando returns to Razor Crest – who is awkwardly affixed with a fishing net like Orca from Jaws – and sets out to Corvus to change the face of Star Wars as we know.. on him.
The « heir » had everything. Lots of Star Wars oddities, huge legendary effects, super fun, intense action scenes in the air and on foot. It was just an excellent TV episode, directed by Mando for the second time by Bryce Dallas Howard. The only downside is, now we have to wait to see what role Ahsoka Tano will play (since every other rumor was true, we can only assume that she will be played by Rosario Dawson) in all of this, and what she will say when confronting the child head-on..
It’s only been two weeks since Season 2 of The Mandalorian and we still have no idea what exactly is going on. While some of the rumors are true, many others have yet to come true, making fans anxiously await where this story will take us.. The fact that Lucasfilm. . .
