India’s fastest bowler Ishant Sharma has been banned from the upcoming friendly against Australia as he will not be fit on time while Rohit Sharma’s hamstring is on Nov.. December will be finally investigated, said BCCI secretary Jay Shah on Thursday.
Around midnight, the BCCI released a brief injury update for the two older players following a fiery online media interaction from Captain Virat Kohli, who made clear his displeasure at the lack of communication and clarity on the whole issue.

“Rohit Sharma had to return to Mumbai after the IPL to take care of his sick father. His father is recovering well now and that has allowed him to travel to the NCA and begin his rehabilitation, ”said Shah.
