Wayne Rooney has revealed how he almost got to Chelsea and Newcastle United before joining Manchester United from Everton.
The blues prodigy became the most expensive teenager in world football at the age of 18.
Everton deposited £ 27m for Rooney after starring at Euro 2004, making him one of the hottest talents in European football.
Newcastle’s interest has been widely reported, but Rooney says Everton had hoped to sell him to Chelsea before United finally paid.
Rooney has stated that he was aware of United’s interest and was therefore unwilling to join any other club while Everton was interested in making a sale.
Isco has asked to leave Real Madrid by January, with the La Liga giants agreeing to his request, according to reports in Spain.
AS claims he’s tired of having a complicated relationship with manager Zinedine Zidane and not getting the opportunities he thinks are deserved, and is motivated to seek new pastures.
Isco planned to stay for the summer, but the report reiterates that he has since changed his mind as it continues to be linked with a move to Everton, despite Carlo Ancelotti rejecting reports of his side’s interest.
Mariano was previously linked to Everton and still appears to be fighting for his future at Real Madrid.
Cenk Tosun believes he feels like a « new transfer » at Everton after Marcel Brands sent club physiotherapist Carl Howarth to his family’s summer vacation to aid his recovery from anterior cruciate ligament surgery.
Tosun was loaned to Crystal Palace last season but was involved in Carlo Ancelotti’s last two Premier League games.
The 29-year-old, who joined Everton for £ 27million in January 2018, believes an « excited » Ancelotti has been watching his comeback closely and hopes to get an opportunity during the busy festival schedule.
After Carlo Ancelotti downplayed Everton’s speech, who signed Isco, the Spaniard’s agent reportedly poured cold water on the Blues’ hopes of signing the playmaker as well.
According to the French publication Le10 Sport, quoted by Prince Rupert’s Tower, the player’s agent said that his client is not currently evaluating offers and wants to stay with Real.
Sport claim the Blues are looking to sign the striker who has no future at the Bernabeu despite having so far opposed Zinedine Zidane’s efforts to sell him.
The same report claims Atletico Madrid joined the running for his signature, attributing interest to Lyon, West Ham and Crystal Palace alongside Carlo Ancelotti’s side.
Wow, who saw this coming? I mean, it would always happen after these German comments and Carlo Ancelotti’s answer, wouldn’t it?

They claim Everton are among the favorites to sign the midfielder in January should he leave Juventus.

Well it might get easier for the Blues to land the winger in January if he’s actually a target, according to new reports from France on Ligue 1’s current financial troubles.
