« At the Prime Minister’s request, the ship will take on a specific role – to help repair damaged schools immediately, » Feakes said.

« Prime Minister Bainimarama knows the ship’s capabilities well. He is a marine man and saw it up close on his 2018 and 2019 visits to Suva. ”

He said HMAS Adelaide would come with helicopters, landing craft, and additional small boats that would be ideal for delivering building materials to remote locations.

Lieutenant Colonel John Venz, the commanding officer of the 6th Support Regiment. Regiment said they would be around 35. 000 tons of auxiliary and building materials come to Fiji.
