The Bureau of Meteorology has issued a severe weather warning for parts of Victoria, including Melbourne, after a long morning of heavy rainfall.
A trough over the western Victorian room slowly moving east all Monday could cause flash floods. It is not expected to go east after noon.

To be on the safe side, the State of Emergency Service (SES) has recommended that residents secure their loose items (umbrellas, outdoor chairs). Stay away from fallen power lines, trees, drains, streams, waterways and gutters. Drive by if driving conditions are dangerous and if possible stay indoors until the weather clears.
« Severe Weather Warning » was issued for heavy rains in south and east of Victoria. In the hour until 6 a.m., Moorabbin recorded 27 mm of rain. The conditions are loosening from the west. #VicWeatherWarning: https: // t. co / BtKYGkxWjX image. Twitter. com / egpJkPZMM2
