Laura Kimmince had a day to remember at the Hurstville Oval, where she produced a match-winning cameo and took one of the best moments of the season to achieve their fifth consecutive Brisbane Heat victory.

Kimmince shot 40 balls not of just 17 balls, which consisted of four balls and three six balls, leading the Hit team to the winning goal of 138 with four wickets in his hand.

Kimmince came out on the racket with Brisbane in trouble at 5-87 at the end of 15, but in a matter of moments and after a series of daring, reverse and traditional passes, the right-handed player changed course of the game.

Not only did Kimmince star with the bat, she shot up in the air in slow motion to pick up a screaming one-handed screamer over a full stretch to remove Scorchers Captain Beth Mooney for 49.

Brisbane cemented its second spot on the ladder, and now the odds of winning three titles are real.

After being sent off the bat, Moni followed the 49 scoring 45 goals she scored yesterday on the same pitch to score 400 points for the tournament, a feat the left crossbar achieved in every season of the WBBL League.

But Matilda Carmichael’s 23-ball cameo, which included sixty, lifted the Heat to the 8-137 competition.

The running chase couldn’t have started better for Perth as Sarah Glenn, circling the leg, trapped Grace Harris for a golden duck, and then two balls, Captain Hit Jace Jonasen stumbled without a goal.

A position of 66 runners settled between Georgia Redmayne and Muddy Green, but when they fell, it was left for Kimmince to take the long handle to the Scorchers and end the match.
