COLOGNE, Germany – Montrealer Felix Auger-Aliassime is in the Cologne Open final after taking a 6-3, 1-6, 6-3 victory over Spaniard Roberto Bautista Agut in the semi-final on Saturday

Auger-Aliassime, 20, who is seeking his first ATP Tour victory, will make his third final this season and sixth in his career when he takes on Germany’s Alexander Zverev in Sunday’s final of the ATP 250 tournament on hard ground

After hesitating in the second set, Auger-Aliassime quickly regained his momentum with an early break in the third before fending off the second-seeded Spaniard

The third-seeded Canadian had five double faults and won just 64% of his serve points, but also drew seven aces and converted three of his six breakpoint chances

Bautista Agut won 70% of his serve points and 51% of total points thanks to his dominant performance in the second set He did not serve an ace, and also converted three of his break point opportunities sox

It was the second meeting between Bautista Agut and Auger-Aliassime The Spaniard won his first meeting in the Davis Cup final last year
