FIGHT ISLAND – Magomed Ankalaev knocked down his UFC opponent, then punched him seven more times while on the ground
A 28-year-old Dagestan, Ankalaev has forged a formidable reputation as a formidable competitor in the 205-pound category
Although he lost his UFC debut in 2018 in a triangular submission loss to Paul Craig, Ankalaev has since rebounded with venom by beating his next four opponents – three of those by knockout

But then Ankalaev leapt up with a charge of hammering fists, seemingly separating Cutelaba from his senses with a sixth shot in the ruthless streak, then the referee had to pull him away from his opponent after landing a brutal seventh shot from the high
He said after the victory that those ranked above him in the weight class will look over their shoulders with him fast approaching
“I wanted to catch it, I wanted to end up with a counter and I ended up with a counter I think everyone in my division was watching this fight,” Ankalaev said. “I’m going after the best fighters, so I hope they are waiting for me «
About what he wants next, Ankalaev added: « I would love to fight one of the top five fighters, but it would be interesting, and I would rather fight Shogun Rua or Anthony Smith, but other than that, don’t who cares the first five
