OPP says 25-year-old man died after being struck by passing truck during dispute on Highway 401 in Toronto on Friday night
Const OPP Tim Dunnah told Global News he believed some sort of road rage and scuffle incident happened around 6:45 p.m.m on the westbound express lanes of the highway in the Avenue road sector
He later said in an update with reporters that a collision may have occurred between two vehicles which caused an interaction between the man and another person outside the vehicles

A spokesperson for Toronto paramedics told Global News the man died at the scene The spokesperson said another person was later taken to hospital with injuries minor
Dunnah first said that someone was taken into custody, but then corrected that statement and noted that no one was being held on Friday night
He said officers were called to report a collision and the man was fatally struck by the truck while responding, the Ontario Police Watchdog (Ontario Police Unit special investigations) was informed of the incident The Special Investigations Panel has not confirmed whether the agency will invoke its mandate and investigate the collision
