The son of seven-time world champion Michael Schumacher was to get his first glimpse of F1 when he took part in the first Eifel Grand Prix practice on Friday with Alfa Romeo

‘It’s special to be here and I would have loved to go out and drive in front of the fans – I hope next time
Mick’s mother Corinna was on the track to watch him compete in his first practice session
