Former Houston Rockets head coach Mike D’Antoni and Philadelphia 76ers assistant coach Ime Udoka join Nets coaching staff under Steve Nash, ESPN Adrian Wojnarowski reported Friday morning and Ian Begley from SNY confirmed

Jacque Vaughn will remain Nash’s main assistant after spending time as interim head coach of the Nets last season, so D’Antoni will take the next seat after him

D’Antoni held multiple head coaching positions across the league, most notably as Nash’s head coach with the Phoenix Suns from 2004-2008 Together, they ran the infamous « offense of seven seconds or less », which took the league by storm and saw Nash win two assists and two league MVPs.

Nash continues to add pieces to his coaching staff, having called in former teammate Amar’e Stoudemire last week D’Antoni also coached Stoudemire with the Suns and New York Knicks

Together, this strong group will seek to lead Kevin Durant, Kyrie Irving and Co to an NBA championship
