Police say they were contacted this morning by a department store in Kingston, Greater London, which reported the threat
A Met Police spokesperson told Mirror Online: « At approximately 9.47am on Wednesday, October 28, police were contacted by a department store on Wood Street, Kingston, where a bomb threat had been received
The police statement continued: « A number of closures, including the Kingston Bridge, are in place as officers search the scene Requests continue
In a Tweet, the Kingston council wrote: « Traffic police have closed Wood Street between the Bentall Center and John Lewis due to an incident »
There have been reports of a large police presence with an eyewitness saying on Twitter: « What’s going on in Kingston this morning?
