World news – GB – Bournemouth 0-0 Crystal Palace highlights: Hennessey and Milivojevic miss pens

Live coverage of the Carabao Cup second round fixture between Bournemouth and Crystal Palace at the Vitality Stadium

Hello, and welcome to’s live coverage of Crystal Palace’s trip to face Bournemouth in the Carabao Cup.

Palace got their Premier League season off to a good start on Saturday afternoon with a win over Southampton at Selhurst Park.

Roy Hodgson admitted that he may have to rotate his team for this fixture, with a Premier League clash against Manchester United looming on Saturday at Old Trafford.

Wayne Hennessey made a good save from Begovic’s penalty but blazed his effort over, and Luka Milivojevic was unable to score his second penalty of the shootout.

Bournemouth progress to round three where they will face Manchester City – a game that nobody really fancies at this stage of the season, it has to be said.

It’s a great save low to his left from Begovic, it finishes 11-10 on penalties to Bournemouth.

Kelly whips in a cross but it’s cleared and nobody really looks like they’re going all out for it here.

Kelly picks up a booking for a sliding tackle on Zemura – looks like it’ll be shovelled into the box…

Palace are attacking and the referee gets in the way of Townsend’s pass. Palace get it back.

Townsend works well down the right before clipping in a cross. It’s nodded into the air by a Bournemouth defender and Begovic claims it.
