Hello and welcome to our coverage as Lincoln City attempt to book a Carabao Cup tie with Premier League champions Liverpool.
That is what is at stake in tonight’s second round clash between Bradford City and the Imps at Valley Parade.
Michael Appleton’s side will be looking to continue their encouraging start to the season which has seen cup wins over Crewe and Scunthorpe and a 2-0 victory over Oxford in Saturday’s League One opener.
Given his side’s hectic schedule, Appleton intends to make some changes to his side, with Max Melbourne, Zack Elbouzedi and Callum Morton among those looking for a start.
Stuart McCall’s Bradford reached the second round with a 2-1 win at Bolton before starting their League Two campaign with a goalless draw against Colchester.
Grant brought the ball down brilliantly and showed tremendous vision to find Morton, who coolly slipped it beyond O’Donnell
O’Connor heads over from close range. Anderson did just enough to put him off. If you’re being ultra critical, Lincoln’s defending from set-pieces could have been better tonight
Kurtis Guthrie is down receiving treatment after a challenge from Eyoma. The resulting free kick is headed over his own bar by Melbourne
Paulie O’Connor booked for a foul. He was arguably the last man and could have seen red.
Should be five as Morton finds Scully in the box but he’s denied by O’Donnell. Then Jones’ shot is blocked by a defender
