Geek Retreat – which specializes in « everything geeky » including comics, memorabilia, and tabletop games – announces the opening of 100 more stores over the next two years, at some point where the UK is under pressure

Earlier this year, miniature war game maker Games Workshop – which is best known for its Warhammer products – reported record sales and profits, and its shares were promoted in London’s FTSE 250 index
Geek Retreat – founded in Glasgow in 2017 – offers products such as comics, posters, clothing, figurines and memorabilia, as well as games and collectable cards
It also specializes in various cult brands such as Dungeons & Dragons, Star Wars and Harry Potter, while selling graphic novels and gaming accessories such as dice
The retailer said it plans to open locations in Bournemouth, Northampton and Liverpool in the coming months, followed by Southampton, Dumfries, Cardiff and Sutton in London
The chain, which operates as a franchise, aims to open five stores per month from early 2021, but points out that with the Covid-19 virus, those plans are likely to change
M Dobson said all of its outlets are secured by Covid, with only a limited number allowed at a time Customers must also book events in advance, submit contact details for tracking, and follow social distancing rules
