Little Mix fans have expressed concerns for band member Jade Thirlwall after her disappearance from the studio for The Search’s first live broadcast
Having already been significantly delayed due to the coronavirus, The Search’s elimination phase was pushed back even further last week after a number of BBC1 crew members were tested positive for COVID-19
All four Little Mix members tested negative, but while Perrie, Jesy and Leigh-Anne were in the studio, Jade was noticeably absent as the X Factor winners kicked off their work with a performance of their brand new single Sweet Melody
She was also missing when host Chris Ramsey spoke with the group, with the former Strictly star revealing Jade was in isolation
The 27-year-old was still on the show, appearing via a video link from her home, after isolating herself over fears she may have been in contact with someone who has been tested positive for coronavirus
Earlier this week, a source for Little Mix explained, « Jade has to self-isolate this week and will therefore take on her mentoring role on Little Mix The Search from home.
« Quarantine for two weeks does not mean that Jade caught Covid-19 herself, but may have come into contact with someone who has »
Fans were worried about the South Shields singer, with a tweet: « I’m currently watching @LMTheSearch and miss Jade so much !! Hope she feels better soon », and another posted: » I hope jade will be alright «
And while other viewers were happy to see Jade watching well at home, another expressed concern about something more wrong, with them reacting, « We better not have a moment of ginger spice here with the missing jade «
