World News – GB – Nottingham Forest ‘got what it deserved’ against Luton

The Reds went four unbeaten games despite falling to 10 men in the first half at Kenilworth

For a third game in a row, Nottingham Forest came back from behind to draw 1-1 as the loot was shared in Luton Town

This extended the Reds’ unbeaten run to four games as they secured their awards for a tough second period

Forest started off brilliantly, showing a lot of urgency and energy, but struggled to create a lot of chances

Anthony Knockaert threw a cross shot on goal and passed Lyle Taylor with a nice pass, but Simon Sluga was quick out of his line – and that was about as close as the Reds came before the pause

A town corner caused a lot of trouble and was not cleared in the 22nd minute, with Glen Rea on hand to stab the stray ball

Things got worse for Chris Hughton’s side just before the interval, as Nicholas Ioannou received a red card for a challenge against Martin Cranie

Luton couldn’t deal with a Cyrus Christie cross coming in from the right and, under pressure from Ryan Yates, Rea directed the ball into his own net to score at the opposite end of the pitch

The Reds found their spark after the leveler and fought hard, but didn’t quite find a way to find a winner and it took a big save from Brice Samba at the end to turn one down in Luton

« I have a group that put what they needed in this second half, » said Chris Hughton

« We made it difficult, Luton scoring early, but I’m really happy with what they put in

« Overall I think it was nice that we limited a Luton side that played for so long with 11 v 10 men at minimum odds. « We deserved what we have »

Andrew Brookes: Well I got more than I expected at halftime A little disappointing not to screw it even Another heavy game of little quality and hopefully another game who will teach Hughton a lot about his team

Forest FanBase: everything considered a very good result The defense was strong again, the middle halves too Jack & Yates made a monumental change tonight Lolley still a great effort in his good position Still need to take initiatives rather than playing when you need it

4evaNFFC: That’s not a bad point all things considered The problem is we look like 11 strangers on the pitch, but that’s exactly what we are I also thought the last 15 minutes was screaming at Mighten
