In the 49th minute David Luiz had to be sent off due to an injury On came the much maligned Shkodran Mustafi in his place

Mustafi’s defensive abilities are often questioned by the Gooners and his role in Vardy’s goal has been analyzed

Images show another center-back Gabriel apparently telling Mustafi to get back into position as Leicester started an attack The German does not appear to be listening and seconds later Gabriel has to try to get through Under, which had been played by Youri Tielemans He left Vardy completely anonymous in the middle of the penalty area, with Mustafi around 10 yards away Vardy is able to nod his head through Under cross to win the game for his team

After the loss, Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta insisted his team were in control but didn’t take advantage of any created opportunities
