Reports of PSN outage increased today, with an independent Down Detector outage monitor recording hundreds of PlayStation Network outage reports As of 10:00 a.m. BST today, PSN dropping reports have been increasing steadily, with Down Detector UK at the time of writing this article recording a spike of around 450 PSN drop reports Of those affected, 52% had issues with social features from PlayStation Networks, while 41% reported problems signing in
Sony’s website says there are some issues with PlayStation Video, but other than that, the main PSN features like gaming, social media, account management, PS Store, and PlayStation Now all work well
The official PSN website does however have the message: « You may experience game downloads a bit slower or delayed as we are working with ISPs to handle the download traffic. We believe it is important to do our sets out to address internet stability issues as unprecedented numbers of people stay home and practice social distancing We appreciate the support and understanding of our community «

At the time of writing, the official Ask PlayStation UK Twitter account has not commented on the issues reported by PSN users today.
But among the reported server issues, PlayStation fans took to Twitter to report issues they encountered with the service
One of the biggest issues reported by PSN users is not being able to view their friends list
One tweeted: « I can’t connect to the internet, keep disconnecting from it I also updated the ps4 to 800 and it still doesn’t work I’ve already called my service provider internet services and my router is working fine Help me #psndown #playstationnetworkdown @PlayStation @AskPlayStation «
Another posted: « #psndown friend list not loading (WS-37505-0) & (WS-44369-6) all games have been set to be hidden from my profile for some reason Any? I’m showing online but not sure if I’m actually online? Please correct that! «
One of them added: « Is PSN down? Because I can’t see my friends list at all or something like that »
And another wrote: « Are the PSN servers down or something i dont see anything like my friends or whatever »
