New Nottingham Forest manager Chris Hughton has strengthened Ireland’s connection to the club by adding Steven Reid and Nick Colgan to his behind-the-scenes squad
Hughton, a former Republic of Ireland defender, will be assisted by fellow former Irish internationals Reid and Colgan as first team and goalkeeper coaches respectively
Reid will combine his role with his current position as a coach with Scotland’s management team, while Colgan has left Wigan Athletic
Hughton was appointed director of forestry in early October, replacing Sabri Lamouchi after a poor start to the championship season that left them third after four of four losses
The two former European Cup winners missed the play-offs on the final day of last season’s league campaign
