The rivals meet in a clash for the all-British super middleweight world title – Billy Joe Saunders will make the second defense of his WBO Super middleweight World title against his British rival Martin Murray at the SSE Arena, Wembley on Friday 4th December, live on Sky Sports in the UK and DAZN in all of its nine markets, including the US
Hatfield star Saunders (29-0, 14 KOs) became a two-weight world champion with a shutout win over Shefat Isufi in May 2019, outscoring his Serbian opponent in 12 rounds to add the WBO crown 168lbs to his collection
The former middleweight executive was set to land a mega fight with Mexican pound-for-pound icon Saul ‘Canelo’ Alvarez earlier this year before the coronavirus pandemic upset the sports world and sabotaged his shot at greatness
Quadruple world title challenger Murray (39-5-1, 17 KOs) stands in the way of unification fights for Saunders in 2021, and the St Helens man is more determined than ever to finally clinch a title world of his own and put his rivalry with Saunders to bed after their scheduled 2018 reunion failed twice
