After a dramatic week in Weatherfield celebrating 60 years of Coronation Street, new images have been revealed showing the suspects after Adam Barlow (Sam Robertson) was attacked and fought for his life.
Viewers on Wednesday watched Adam Peter (Chris Gascoyne) admit he was the one who slept with Carla (Alison King) and how these images depict the moments after the mysterious attacker Adam was at the bistro tonight hit from behind had consequence.
Adam has injured many people in the past few months, and according to the picture showing the suspects, everyone has their own reasons for trying to kill the love rats lawyer.
There’s Sarah (Tina O’Brien), someone whose heart was broken after Adam refused to bury the truth about Gary (Mikey North) before then sleeping with a number of women while separated was including Carla! Was Sarah disgusted by the final conquest and last seen when she entered the Platt’s house after the attack, the person who put Adam’s life at risk?
We can all see how deeply Carla regretted sleeping with Adam and asked him to keep it a secret from Peter, as he was aware that if he revealed it, it would destroy him. Carla was shocked that Adam got up and came clean – but did Peter’s descent take Carla too far? Did she lose her cool with Adam last night in search of a drunk Peter?
Maybe Gary is the attacker? Past events between the two mean that Gary certainly has a motive and the friction between the two has been increasing for months! Add this to the fact that Adam knows the truth about Gary’s death from Rick Neelan (Greg Wood) as well as the police on Gary’s back in the upcoming episodes. Is it finally over for the seedy businessman? His reasons for trying to kill Adam are the strong ones, which means Gary is high on the suspect list!
The closest person has to be Peter. His world has been destroyed, the love of his life and one of his family members betrayed him, and his former drinking demons are back to haunt him – could Peter’s feelings have defeated him and he is the one who took revenge Adam? We last saw Peter slump out in the street with a brick and whiskey bottle in hand to give him both a motive and a gun?
In the coming weeks, when Adam is fighting in the hospital, the police will get closer to their prime suspect. But do you have the right one?
