Ukrainian beauty will not be paired with a celebrity for the 2020 contest It is strictly scheduled to return to screens – in a capacity compatible with Covid – next month
Strictly Come Dancing pro Nadiya Bychkova has learned that she will not be paired with a celebrity in the upcoming 2020 series, reports show
The 31-year-old Ukrainian bombshell will be limited to accompanying dance for the upcoming 18th series – which is expected to feature celebrities including comedian Bill Bailey and Radio 1 host Clara Amfo
Nadiya has been featured on Strictly since Series 15 in 2017 where she was picked up with EastEnders track Davood Ghadami
In the 2018 series, she was paired with Blue singer Lee Ryan, and last year she was paired with football star David James
Over the years, Nadiya has championed the illusion of romance with her dance partners, previously stating, « We have to go in the right direction This is what it should look like »
But her acting skills could be to blame because she was chosen by the frontline for the new series – which will debut next month
A source told The Sun on Sunday: « Nadiya is obviously gutted not to have a partner on the show this year
« She wonders if it was not a mistake to adopt such a flirtatious approach with her partners
« The bosses really want this year’s show to be scandal-free The emphasis is on each person’s professionalism »
The BBC may have its work cut out for it if they hope to limit backstage affairs, romances and breakups
Judge Craig Revel Horwood has previously admitted he believes coronavirus health and safety measures will lead to the ‘most intense’ curse yet, saying the lockdown will bring pros and stars closer together
Although it could even be argued that the curse has already struck – as Good Morning Britain star Ranvir Singh revealed she split from her husband days after being exposed in 2020
