BEIJING – Detained Australian writer Yang Hengjun has been charged with espionage and his case is currently being heard in a Beijing court, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman said on Monday

The 55-year-old blogger was arrested by Chinese authorities in January 2019 at Guangzhou airport after arriving from New York. He was held in a Beijing detention center without access to his family, while his woman stays in China
