World News – UA – Italian coach Mancini disappointed Balotelli didn’t have a club

Italy coach Roberto Mancini expressed regret on Thursday that striker Mario Balotelli did not find himself a club during the transfer window, arguing the striker would have been « very useful » for the team national

« I am very sorry to see him in these conditions. At 30, he would still be fully technically mature and would have been very useful for the Italy team, » said Mancini, his former coach at Inter Milan and Manchester City

« I wish him the best and I hope good things can happen again, » said the Italian coach in an online interview with the Corriere dello Sport and Tuttosport newspapers

Balotelli has scored 14 goals in 36 international matches, his last run-out for the Azzurri in September 2018

After spending time with Nice and Marseille in the French Ligue 1, Balotelli appeared last season in Brescia, but could not prevent the club from being relegated to Serie B

The club’s relegation from his hometown activated a clause in his contract that made him a free agent
