Both players will look to take another positive step in their comeback when LAFC (8-7-4, 28 points) host the Houston Dynamo (4-7-9, 21 points) on Wednesday at 7:30 p.m. (Ch 62, YouTube TV)

“As far as Carlos is concerned, we’re delighted he’s back and it was great to see him score a goal,” said Bradley “When you move players you have to be smart with the minutes You don’t want to move them too fast and back down based on how they feel

« We based it all on the daily load in training, and then we built with three games, to have it at its best at the end of the year, when the games count the most »

Blackmon’s return will help LAFC fortify defense Latif Blessing replaced at right-back during Blackmon’s absence

« The staff, the players and all the guys around the facility made it possible for me to keep going, to stay motivated, to want to come back as soon as possible, » said Blackmon « I felt good in training, the last week and a half or so (before Sunday’s game), really pushing the pace for myself and getting back into the rhythm of things

« It felt good… I was happy to be back on the pitch, it was a great opportunity for me to come back to the team and I will be looking to develop my fitness and get my good touches.  »

After Wednesday’s game, LAFC travels to San Jose on Sunday, then hosts Portland in November8 to close the regular season

“These last (three) games are very important,” Blackmon said “We have to keep pushing our levels individually and collectively We have to do it in training every day, come out with the right mindset and look to work as hard as possible  »
