Queensland will open its border to New South Wales from 1 a.m. on November 3, but it will remain closed to Greater Sydney and Victoria, Prime Minister Annastacia Palaszczuk said

Ms Palaszczuk said she had relied on the advice of the chief health officer, who is concerned about community transmission of the virus in southern states

« I always said I would take health advice and that’s Dr Young’s advice, » she said

« Keeping Queensland safe is also about keeping our economy open and I won’t risk the safety of Queenslanders »

Ms Palaszczuk said it was through ‘the hard work of every inhabitant of Queensland’ that the state did not have community transmission
