EastEnders aired dramatic scenes on Friday night when Ian Beale paid the price for a long list of enemies.

He was brutally beaten in off-screen scenes before he was shown lifeless on the floor covered in blood.

Ian had been brutally assaulted in The Queen Vic and died surrounded by what looked like broken glass.

It is not known who attacked him, but someone did – and it seems they want him dead.

Tina Carter had been seen confronting him in his house before the episode went dark.

A sequence of the suspects was then aired showing their movements at the time of the attack, much later in the day.

So what happened in the house between Tina and Ian and why were their nose and hands covered in blood?

It was actually a scene with the couple earlier in which many predicted a gruesome ending for one of the longest-serving characters on the series.

He told Tina that she and the Carters could have the pub back « over his dead body » with the audience picking up on the « premonition ». .

Ben Mitchell also wanted to get his brother after learning that he had taken him to the police.

Ian was also on the wrong side of Max Branning, Linda Carter and Stuart and Rainie Highway as a result.

Other prime suspects include his own sons, Bobby and Peter Beale, whom he may have pushed too far.

While fans argue over who did it, many believe Ian won’t make it until 2021.

In one big twist, they commented on Twitter believing Ian could be killed in the act – maybe around Christmas.

One viewer wrote: « Ian will die around Christmas. I can feel it in my bones. He’s been doing too much lately. «

There were other moments this week where fans were considered teasers, including Ian referring to himself as a « survivor » and a hint that he had a head injury.

EastEnders airs at 8 a.m. on Mondays. Tuesdays and Thursdays at 5 p.m. at 7 a.m.. 35 o’clock and on Fridays at 8 o’clock. 35pm on BBC One.
