World News – UK – Spoiler: Ian dies in a violent revenge attack in EastEnders

Somebody has had enough of Ian

. .

If you were to list Albert Square’s most popular residents in sequence, you’d probably find Ian Beale (Adam Woodyatt) right down even the local traffic cop. And the EastEnders businessman is about to push one of his many enemies way too far and he is under attack and has to die.

But with so many people royally angry at Beale, who went a step further and made them lifeless at Queen Vic?

After hearing Rainie (Tanya Franks) and Stuart (Ricky Champ) speak to Tiffany (Maisie Smith) at the Vic, Ian viciously misses Tiffany’s plan to take Rainie and Stuart’s deputies before Whitney (Shona McGarty ) to be horrified.

Meanwhile, Bobby (Clay Milner Russell) asks Ian for help picking a winner for the Lucy Beale Award, but he’s too busy as always while Suki (Balvinder Sopal) is still angry with Ian and planning against him.

All in all, not a good start to the week. But it gets worse for the local planner as he can’t help but upset others – not least Max Branning (Jake Wood), whom he discovers when he is kissing Linda (Kellie Bright).

Ian cheerfully warns Max that he has the upper hand now, unless Max wants the whole place to know about his kiss with Linda. Max goes angry and plans his revenge.

Tina (Luisa Bradshaw-White) visits Mick (Danny Dyer) and finds him desperate after his day at the nursing home. She thinks he’s down because he lost The Vic. Inspired to fix this for her brother, Tina begins her mission to get Ian out of the Vic for good.

Bobby prepares for the Lucy Beale Awards night at the Queen Vic. Ian smugly tells Sharon (Letitia Dean) that he sorted Max and he won’t sell the pub, but when he goes into the kitchen Max takes revenge and threatens Ian – give his money back or he will rescue him from his misery.

Later, when Sharon watches the banking business, an idea arises – what is Ian doing now?

It’s the day of the Lucy Beale awards ceremony and everything you can touch. Bobby struggles to decide who to give the award to, but Ian tells Bobby that he knows who Lucy would have picked to win. When Bobby gets up to present the award, he gives a speech for his sister and Ian joins in, slightly surprised.

Linda tells Mick she isn’t going to the awards show and points out how he’s been feeling her lately. Later Max visits her in the laundromat and they go to the Vic together.

Tina is still mad at Ian and tells Shirley what she did. You go to the vic to see Ian’s fall.

Later, the big announcement comes as a shock to everyone. Max is concerned about why Ian is so complacent, but it seems Ian has the last laugh when explaining what he’s done.

Ben (Max Bowden) is furious too – no one wants to work with the Mitchells after someone puts grass on them and he’s determined to find out who it was.

Ian thinks he outsmarted Max, but Max is seething and planning his revenge – how far will he go? Meanwhile, Ian is delighted with the Lucy Beale Award to Elliot from the Gazette and hopes he will write a glowing article about him when Ben shows up, and he’s mad too. The police arrive and Ben suspects they’re here to speak to him, but it’s Ian they are arresting.

Kathy (Gillian Taylforth) rushes to the train station to help Ian, but his son Peter (Dayle Hudson) doesn’t care that much and tries to convince Bobby that Ian is wrong. Ian immediately blames Kathy for his arrest. Kathy is pushed too far now and serves him some hard truths. Has she finally had enough of her son’s behavior? Peter explains to Bobby that they won’t be happy until Ian is gone. Bobby, seeing meaning in his brother’s words, begins to see his father for who he really is.

Rainie later beats Ian, accusing Whitney of having doubts about Tiffany’s thoughts. Ian bites back with vengeance – Rainie is upset, but Stuart has vengeance in his eyes …

Tina tells Mick he can get the pub back, but Mick hits Tina – she obviously doesn’t understand what he’s going through. Annoyed, Tina goes and walks towards The Vic.

Later everything is in The Vic, Ian lies motionless on the floor, but who attacked him?
