Strictly Come Dancing’s Christmas Special saw Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman reveal who the audience had voted for their all-time favorite dance

Strictly Come Dancing viewers were thrilled when Jay McGuiness and Aliona Vilani won the Most Memorable Strictly Dance title.
The fans of the BBC hit were busy voting for the most formidable dance in the show’s history and now they have finally chosen.
Third place went to Emmerdale alum Kelvin Fletcher and Samba from beloved pro Oti Mabuse from last year’s 2019 series, with the couple winning that series.
Another oti dance followed in second place when she performed a samba with Hollyoaks’ Danny Mac in 2016.
Both Oti routines turned up the heat and the fans were impressed – as were the judges at the time.
The ultimate Strictly Come Dancing performance, however, was voted the 2015 winner and The Wanted star Jay McGuiness and dancer partner Aliona Vilani when they put on a Pulp Fiction-inspired jive for a lively performance.
Of course the audience was very satisfied with the winning dance, as the majority voted for the selection!
One viewer tweeted: « Glad the jive dance was number 1, it’s a great dance #strictly ».
Another Strictly fanatic commented, « It was nice to see @JayMcGuiness at the #Strictly Christmas Countdown tonight and to see his fabulous jive voted number one best routine at @bbcstrictly. Have a wonderful Christmas treat and I hope you have a great Christmas Jay « .
Meanwhile, another fan of the hit show remarked, « I love #Strictly’s Christmas special. I 100% agree that Jay and Aliona’s Jive is the number one dance – my all time favorite. I try not to tearfully watch Caroline Flack while enjoying Pasha’s return to my screen. «
Elsewhere, another BBC viewer wrote: « If Jays Jive wasn’t no. 1 I would have complained to ofcom #strictly « .
Finally, one Strictly viewer concluded, “What a Christmas treat to see @JayMcGuiness on my screen and to see his jive with Aliona again. Rightly the top spot and an iconic dance in #Strictly history. It still shocks me that they didn’t get all 10’s. I would give it [100 emojis] « .
