Long Island diocese seeks bankruptcy protection to face legal fees resulting from multiple sexual abuse lawsuits

The Diocese of Rockville Center says it needs a Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing to restructure and help facilitate the resolution of dozens of victims of sexual abuse who have sued for sexual misconduct under the Child Victims Act
