World News – US – Astros makes Sugar Land Skeeters a Grade AAA subsidiary

It has become very easy for Astros fans to see some of the best potential players on their team.

Astros and Sugar Land Skeeters have reached an agreement that Skeeters will become part of Astros’ AAA class, according to Chandler Roma of the Houston Chronicle. Astros will also hold an ownership stake in Skeeters, according to KRIV-TV.

Team Skeeters play at the 7,500-seat Constellation Field, which is located about 20 miles southwest of Minute Maid Park off Highway 6. The team has been playing in the Atlantic Independent League since its inception in 2012.

The move means that Astros’ two largest subsidiaries are in the state with Corpus Christi Hooks operating as the organization’s AA subsidiary.. Astros also owns Hooks and the Class A Advanced Team in Fayetteville, N.A.. C.

The Round Rock Express will now need to find a new dependency, which Evan Grant of the Dallas Morning News predicts will be the Texas Rangers..
