Severe weather threat dissipates across most of state

A wind advisory is in effect for the West Central Alabama counties of Pickens, Sumter, Greene, Hale and Marengo for up to 1 hourm

Winds could be blowing up to 35 mph today in advisory areas, weather service said

Remnants of Delta are expected to move away from the state by Sunday, but rain could persist into the day Chances of rain are expected to decrease by Sunday night
