On the whole, violent crime has come under President Trump’s control, continuing a trend that began after a peak in 1991
When you look at the number of African Americans arrested – which may give some indication – you can see that arrests have declined in recent years
The latest available data is from 2018 and shows 2,115,381 African Americans have been arrested, according to FBI statistics
