Jockey Nick Scholfield is out of action for the foreseeable future after breaking his leg in a frantic collision with a loose horse
The incident occurred after the 2m 2f 235pm Star Sports Owner’s Club Handicap Chase in Fontwell on Friday November 6, in which Scholfield finished fourth on Shintori
It was after the race, as Scholfield was getting off Shintori, that the cowardly Go Steady crashed into him, breaking his leg
His girlfriend and fellow jockey Hayley Taylor posted a photo of Scholfield lying in a hospital bed with his leg in a cast
It’s unclear how long the jockey will be out of action, but he told Sky Sports he hopes to be back within six months.
« I have fractured my shin I hope I can come back as soon as possible – if I could do it in six weeks, that would be my hope, » he said
