The second-year cornerback was on cover as Auburn quarterback Bo Nix passed 18 yards to wide receiver Seth Williams on the left sideline
The play looked good to get Auburn inside the LSU’s 5-yard line, but Stingley continued to kick the ball as Williams fell out of bounds He succeeded, removing the ball from the receiver’s grip – and it took a very friendly rebound in the end zone
Stingley tried to get the ball back before it went out of bounds, but that didn’t matter as he would be considered a touchback anyway
