Red Bull driver Max Verstappen converted pole position into victory during Saturday’s Sprint race at the Belgian Grand Prix, claiming the lead back from McLaren rival Oscar Piastri after the two drivers opted for different strategies in a wet encounter.

Monaco looked resplendent as Friday practice got under way on perhaps the most famous racing circuit of them all. And it delivered a tasty series of lap times to suggest we have at least three teams – maybe even four – in with a shout of taking pole position.
